New Winner For Poet’s Voice
One of only three freshman stallions last season to sire a stakeswinner, Poet’s Voice added a new winner at Hawkesbury on Thursday.
Starting a short priced favourite, Poet’s Advocate was convincing in getting the job done under Tommy Berry by two lengths. Poet’s Advocate was a cheap $14,000 buy for trainer Scott Singleton and bloodstock agent Dave Mee from the draft of Bowness Stud at the Inglis Classic Summer Sale.
It’s the second winner for the season for Poet’s Voice who was in the top 10 first season sires last season with four winners including late season stakes winner My Country when taking the Lancaster Stakes at Eagle Farm.
