PBI & Tony Sears Purchase One of the Stars of the QTIS Sale
Pinhook Bloodstock’s Dave Mee (FBAA) has purchased one of the stars of the Magic Millions March Sale with a final bid of $130,000 for the full-brother to Group 1 winner Miss Cover Girl. The Monashee Mountain – Tolart colt topped a list of five yearlings Mee bought in conjunction with Toowoomba trainer Tony Sears for a spend of $425,000 at the Gold Coast Sale.
Miss Cover Girl won last year’s G1 Tatt’s Tiara at Eagle Farm and her brother was a stand-out from Kenmore Lodge who sold the colt on behalf of Townsville breeder Kevin O’Keefe. “James Dawson from Magic Millions believes he was one of the colts of the sale,” Mee said. “We aimed up and got some beauties and we’re looking forward the QTIS Bonus Race this time next year.”
Pinhook Bloodstock and Sears also bought colts by Falvelon & Jet Spur and fillies by Falvelon & Top Echelon.
Mee added a Show A Heart – Hey Blondie filly to the list for $55,000 on behalf of Alexandra Fleming.
